Music Desk — Privacy and data

Controller: Fenix Software Labs, VAT 03097500601, Via Casilina 3, 00182 Rome, Italy. Privacy contact: info@fenixsoftwarelabs.com.

Audio, scores, annotations and setlists are processed and stored on your device. Exported backups and operating-system backups can contain this data.

For licenses and updates, Fenix receives a pseudonymous device identifier, platform, technical credentials and, for updates, the version. Network services can see your IP address. The management system associates the license with the customer and email.

When you open a support request, you send Fenix its title and messages, linked to your license. Authorized staff can reply and add internal notes. Audio and scores are not attached automatically. A support session lasts at most 30 days; ticket retention is reviewed separately from tax obligations. Internal notes are subject to privacy-request review, not an automatic exemption.

License data is needed to perform the contract and activate paid features (GDPR Art. 6.1.b). Proportionate device and abuse checks protect the service (Art. 6.1.f); any tax records follow legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c). Reading and storing scores does not require activation. We do not request marketing consent.

Administrative data is accessible to authorized Fenix staff and hosting/backup providers for their tasks. External services may process data outside the EEA under their own notices: GitHub, Google/YouTube and Spotify. Music Desk does not sell data or use recordings to train server models.

YouTube, Spotify and installer downloads from GitHub involve connections to those providers when you use these features. Audio and projects are not sent to Fenix for transcription.

Local library data stays until you delete it; Trash keeps files. Fenix retains necessary data during the license and subsequently according to documented contract-administration needs, tax obligations or legal claims. Erasure requests are assessed separately from commercial records and backups. Expiry does not trigger automatic erasure. Abuse counters older than one day are removed at the next service check.

Music Desk includes no advertising or behavioral analytics. Language, preferences and library use local storage needed for the features you request.

Transcription proposes notes for review. Activation automatically checks license validity and device limits; you can ask Fenix for review and assistance. We do not profile for advertising or make decisions with legal effects based on musical content.

Trash keeps originals. Use “Delete permanently” in Trash to remove them from the app. External originals and backups remain under your control.

For access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability of license data, contact Fenix: info@fenixsoftwarelabs.com. Do not send keys or tokens. You can complain to a supervisory authority. Local deletion does not delete data held by Fenix.
